When I first became a Team Lead, I felt I needed to prove to my manager that they'd made the right choice. And that my every move was being scrutinised.

Since then, I have spent more than 25 years in leadership roles at organisations such as Arthur Andersen (now Deloitte), Credit Suisse, McDermott Will & Emery and Macmillan Cancer Support.
